ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT RCC CHESS Beginner Intermediate Advanced Chess is called gymnastics for the mind. Chess players are thorough, quick witted, and intelligent. In the 1970s some Soviet schools conducted an experiment: chess became mandatory in the early education. The results at the end of the school year proved to be astonishing: students who took chess did better in ALL subjects, versus those who did not. Chess allows us to understand how many facets life has and teaches us how to judge situations clearly - in life and on the chess board. Bring your children to Chess class and in a little bit of time you will notice their new character traits, so very necessary in their future "grown-up" life. Important Announcement: Classes will begin promptly at 10:00. Beginning with a 20-30 minute interactive lesson, with the remaining time of class to be devoted to observed practice play, and one-on-one teacher-student interaction. No matter if your child is a beginner or experienced chess competitor. All ages and skill levels are welcome. The class schedule will be adjusted to offer individual attention to suit the needs of each child.
At the young age of 17, Timothy Moroney is a very accomplished chess
player Tim was first introduced to the game of chess by his older brother at the age of 8. At the age of 11 he entered into his first chess tournament and became a member of the United States Chess Federation (USCF). He has maintained his USCF membership and continues to compete today in scholastic and adult tournaments.
