Art Beginnings

If you want your child to feel the beauty and to love this world with all it has to offer, you should introduce them to the wonderful world of visual arts. And if you wish to develop their patience and appreciation of hard work, than learning how to draw, paint, and, most importantly, how to observe will be of tremendous help. After all, becoming an artist is a livelong lesson and a process that starts in early childhood.

But at first, it is most important to learn to see the world through the eyes of an artist.
It is breathtaking and not as easy as it seems. After all, it is more than a hobby; it is a way of life.
The technique would come along with practice, although it, itself does not show the skill of an artist.

To help your child, we will look at works of the masters; visit local museums and art galleries. In your turn, you can broaden their horizons by listening to good music, going to local theater performances, reading classical literature, taking nature walks - together. Get familiar with the harmony of things, and reach out to the inimitable beauty of the world.

Where should we start? Together we will learn to pay attention to the details of life. Next, we will study the space. Any object in 2D differs from reality. How can we show the three-dimensional world on paper? The task is hard, but not impossible. Notice the color and the tones. The world around us is richer than any
advanced technique, therefore to depict something exact is not possible and equally unnecessary. Still, it is possible to draw with realism. And the most important lesson is: see it in your heart and open the eyes of others. That is where the art starts.

Currently, our Art Studio offers two classes: one for younger children ages 3 to 5 and one for children 5 to 10. Parents are welcome to sit in on any of the classes to determine which one will be most suitable for their aspiring artist.
